MARSALA PANTONE COLOUR OF THE YEAR 2015

Happy New Year 2015 everyone!
Can't believe how quick the holiday's gone ... In fact, it's already mid January!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends, wherever you are.

If you do or do not know about Pantone's colour of the year, don't worry .. I only found out about Pantone's colour of the year 3 years ago ha!

Meet this year's colour: Marsala

I still haven't made up my mind whether or not I like this colour. I think because this colour somehow reminds me about winter - burning wood logs or a glass of red wine.
... and it's summer here now in Australia, so I prefer fresh summer colours for this time of the year.

Do you like Marsala?

Here are some inspirations for you ... and let me know what you think :)

I think after making that mood board, I may have changed my mind :) That marsala colour looks pretty easy in the eye after all.

What do you think?

  1. It's such a beautiful color. Love that chair paired with the pillow!
This would make a great nail polish color too.

But I agree, not a summer color.

  2. I like it, but it's not my favorite color of the year. That throw sure is pretty though!

  3. Now THIS is a good color. I wasn't a fan of last year's, but they really turned it around. :-)

  4. Great colour, I love that it goes very well with neutrals. And I don't mind that things like wine and burning wood logs may pop into mind. I am a bit jealous about the weather over there though, and I can imagine you're more in the mood for bright summer colours :-)

  6. I'm really loving marsala! It's so rich. I just don't know how practical it will be for those of us living in Hawaii! The "endless summer" does kind of keep everything to spring and summer tones all year.
